Kelsey Coy is first and foremost a student of life, ceaselessly fascinated by the people and places she finds herself amid. When she is not trying to make sense of it all in written word, she practices acupuncture at FirstHealth facilities throughout Moore County.

Born and raised in Omaha, NE, Kelsey moved to Los Angeles at age 17 to attend the University of Southern California where she graduated with honors in both Neuroscience and Philosophy, then packed up and headed to New York City to work at The Rockefeller University and earn her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture.

After a year or two of remarking to friends and colleagues in New York that she was anxious to move “somewhere with more trees,” Kelsey took the leap, moving on down to Pinehurst last fall and subsequently marrying her high school sweetheart, eight years and a good deal of growing up after they first met in Omaha.

In her columns, she ruminates on life and living and seeks to find the sweet- and sometimes not so sweet- spots where all our courses intersect.
