Norma Cappelletti

Norma Cappelletti grew up in Waterbury Connecticut and after becoming a Registered Nurse and obtaining an Associate’s Degree she was employed as an assistant Nursing Arts Instructor.

In 1980, Norma was elected a Connecticut State Representative and was active in state politics for many years.

Norma served on Boards of the Waterbury Hospital, the Waterbury Symphony, Women’s Emergency Shelter, The Waterbury Girl’s Club and the Waterbury Civic Theater.

She and husband, Joe, purchased property in Pinehurst and became members of Pinehurst Country Club in 1973 and vacationed here often. They made Pinehurst their permanent home in the mid 80’s.

She has chaired the Legislative and the Bylaws committees of Moore Republican Women and has also served as Parliamentarian for the group.

As a past member of the Board of Governors of the Pinehurst Country Club, Norma chaired the Compliance, Election and the Green Committees.

She is a member of Moore Tea Citizens, has chaired their WEEBie initiative and presently co-chairs the group’s Bylaws Committee.

Norma’s hobbies are golfing, gardening, Grand Opera and collecting and listening to original scores of Broadway Musicals.

Norma and Joe have 4 sons and 9 grandchildren.
