Mayor Virginia Fallon
Pinehurst Village Mayor Virginia (Ginsey) Fallon has served for seventeen years on the Village Council. Mrs. Fallon was first elected in November 1993 and has served continuously since then in differing capacities as mayor, mayor pro-tem, treasurer and council member. She has also chaired the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, is liaison to the Water Committee of the Moore County Summit, and also serves on the Village Beautification Committee.
Mrs. Fallon was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Hofstra University with a B.S. degree in education and from Kean College in New Jersey with a M.A. degree. She worked for the Bernardsville School System as a Reading Specialist prior to moving to Pinehurst in 1986. Prior to her elected duties, she served as an officer on the American Cancer Society Board, was active in Keep Moore Beautiful and the Village Chapel where she is on the Altar Guild. She was chairman of the Chippers, vice-chairman of the Pinehurst Tennis Association and registrar for the Moore County Board of Elections. She also has volunteered at the Given Book Store.
Mrs. Fallon has three children and eight grandchildren.
